In this edition of Youths Take Over, experience fresh and spirited perspectives on the life and persona of Natasha, the name of Singapore Biennale 2022 and Natasha’s life journey of perpetual liminality. Fuel your creativity at this two-day arts festival organised by Arts Business Management students from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, where you can watch performances, visit ongoing exhibitions and make your own crafts!

Location: L1 & L5, SAM at Tanjong Pagar Distripark
*Please note that you are required to purchase a Singapore Biennale 2022 (SB2022) admission ticket and register on Peatix to participate in this programme. This programme is free for SB2022 ticket holders, but admission fees apply. Entrance to the Singapore Biennale is free for local students with a valid student pass.
Natasha headlines the 2022 Biennale, but where is she? Put your detective hats on and join us in this narrative game trail, in which players search for a missing Natasha. Hint: Things are not as they seem! Finding Natasha will take you on a journey through different relationships. Delve deeper into Natasha's persona by finding clues and solving puzzles that will reveal the final passcode. Walk-ins are welcome.

Microphonance

[Live Music and Performances]

Free for all visitors.
Sit back, relax and enjoy intimate live performances by local musicians Ben, Chalmers & Isaac and Jason Yu. Come down and catch the daredevil duo Jacquella and Bryan Wong of Circus of Altrades, Singapore's first acrobatic circus company, who will keep you on your toes with their stunts while you enjoy a day at the museum.

CART

Time: 1 - 7pm
Location: L1, SAM at Tanjong Pagar Distripark
Free for all visitors.
Inspired by the term "liminal" in art and literature, which describes the space between two realities, CART is an enigmatic take on an art market with a light and dark theme. Come by and shop for unique products and crafts from talented local artisans while contemplating the aesthetics of a liminal space.

Festival Zine Making

Time: 1 - 7pm

Free for all visitors.
Create your very own zine—A bricolage of various images, texts and messages —a keepsake of your time at the Singapore Biennale!
This is a free drop-in activity. Available from 1-7pm on 3 and 4 December.

Springs of Life Sculptor

Time: 1-7pm
Location: L1, SAM at Tanjong Pagar Distripark
Free for all visitors.
Cut, bend and twist!
Coil wires into fun shapes and forms inspired by the artwork Someone is Moving by Kanitha Tith.
This is a free drop-in activity. Available from 1-7pm on 3 and 4 December.

Performance Activation of Trace2 by Teow Yue Han

Date: 3 December 2022
Time: 2:30PM–3:30PM
Location: Gallery 2, SAM at Tanjong Pagar Distripark
Free for all visitors.
Experience the museum transformed into a site of transmission and symbiosis – inviting the audience to interact with Trace2 and generate new forms of collective intelligence.
